After painstakingly researching and developing your new product, it is finally ready to hit the market, now is the critical time to see if your team is On Target! Your department will be challenged to have your product reach the targeted consumers as often as possible, but unless each department in your organization is reaching their targets, your ability to dominate the market will be stifled.
All four departments are presented with the challenge of accomplishing their assignment while accommodating the agendas of the other teams. Each team will need to reach their target market by tossing their product (tennis balls) into the boundaries of a geographic area. Not so simple. Each individual product must be tested, through a bounce, before reaching the very small target audience (bucket) within the larger geographic region. Some members of the department will launch the new product; others will be doing market research within the target area, returning valuable information to the launchers.
In this fast paced and high energy initiative, your team will need to strategize on how to best work with others while addressing the challenge of increasing their efforts from the previous campaign. Critical performance competencies such as collaboration and problem solving between departments and finding win-win solutions with co-workers are practiced and refined.
Debrief for a powerful learning experience
Experiential learning activities are based on the principles of
experiential education, and serve as the basis for engaging team building programs that deliver high impact team and leadership skills development. Debriefing occurs after the activity and is an important process designed to synergize, strengthen, and transfer learning from the experience to real-life, on-the-job situations. Our professional facilitators can tailor, modify, and debrief each activity to meet the specific needs of your team.
