Coaching for Performance
Developing people is one of the most significant ways to constantly improve results. Developing people is about developing their competence and confidence in pursuit of desirable results. The three most significant ways people gain competence and confidence are experience (assignments), coaching, and formal training. The goal of this program is for managers to learn to coach people to increase performance in others.

The main emphasis is lively experiential learning, using material from the lives of the participants. Descriptions of theory are brief and followed by illustrations of concrete examples. Most of the time is spent practicing. Part of that practicing is participants coaching other participants to be more effective coaches. The most effective means of retention of learning is having the learners become teachers.

Team Start-up
To become productive, teams typically go through a discernable developmental process. The classic rendition of this is Bruce Tuckman's forming, storming, norming, and performing stages. Business teams are units of performance, and the challenge is to reduce the amount of time for a team to move from a collection of separate individuals to a cohesive unit efficiently achieving desirable goals. The forming or start-up stage is critical because it sets the trajectory for the team. Our considerable experience with helping to launch new teams has led us to focus on three core issues:

1. Purpose: Why are we here? (aspirations)
2. Membership: Who is here and why? (individual assets and needs)
3. Process: How are we going to proceed? (work processes and norms)

Teams that successfully address these core issues have a much greater likelihood of achieving desired results sooner than those that do not. We work with sponsors, team leaders, and team members to achieve successful start-ups in pursuit of long-term success.
Teams in Trouble
Our experts in team dynamics work with people to help them understand the impact of their behavior on the team and then help them develop plans to make necessary adjustments. Experiential learning activities are used to highlight important elements of high performing teams in a very fun and engaging way. Our facilitators work with a healthy sense of humor to create a safe, trusting, and relaxed environment where participants feel comfortable to talk about their issues and want to put forth the effort into creating a better working climate. This eventually helps a group leave with a strong sense of "team" and a desire to keep that momentum going.
Vision and Mission Creation
Is everyone in your department or company on the same page? Do they know why their organization exists? Do they know their mission and vision and the action steps that need to be accomplished to achieve it? Do they share a basic set of beliefs? A vision conveys a compelling, conceptual, and unifying image of your desired future. It should be purposefully articulated to bridge the present and the future and to serve as a critical impetus for change. The mission statement represents a current statement of what your group is really trying to do; it keeps everyone focused and on track, and it mobilizes each person to get the right things done. The purpose of a mission statement is to convey to others, both internal and external, an understanding of why you exist and what you do. We can skillfully guide your planning team through the process of answering these important questions and help them develop a renewed vision and mission that provides inspiration and a challenge to all members of your organization.
Strategic Planning
Whether you are a Board of Directors, an Executive Team or any group of corporate leaders, our meeting facilitators, topical experts, ideation specialists, and speakers will assist you in planning for the future in a setting conducive to producing the most successful results. We will help you define your objectives, set the agenda, assist in the meeting preparation, facilitate the meetings, and record the event. Strategic Planning will stimulate your team and bring new energy and verve to the planning effort. Decisions that used to take weeks and months of effort can occur in only a few days.
Ideation, Brainstorming and Innovation
With Ideation, Brainstorming and Innovation, brainstorming is no longer a random stream of thoughts, but a guided growth of ideas. Ideation experts and skilled facilitators lead organized discussions and simulations that allow for maximum efficiency in the development of ideas. Using methods that encourage creativity and risk-taking, experienced facilitators inspire participants to uncover some of the best and most unique ideas possible. Creative workshops and activities enhance the process and allow creativity to thrive. Ideation can revitalize your team to bring new and incredible ideas to your organization.
Problem Solving
Often times, having a non-team member in the role of the meeting facilitator will produce better results faster, while allowing the program sponsor the freedom and flexibility to be a more active participant in the meeting. We will work with you to design an agenda that will take advantage of the most productive facilitation tools and techniques available to ensure your meeting's goals are achieved in the most effective and efficient manner.
