Making Something Out of Nothing
Does your team have what it takes? Now before you answer lets paint a picture….
In this extraordinary and unique program your team will find themselves immersed in a bustling urban location. The challenge: to generate as much revenue as possible in a limited amount of time through lucrative ventures.
Propelling the group into this profitable program, teams will compete in an exciting initiative. Based on the results of the challenge, teams will get to select their first venture kit, each equipped with a limited amount of start-up money and unique items. Now the discussions ensue as the decisions begin, do they choose the musical instruments or the costumes, the carnival games or the cameras? Once all of the kits have been claimed, the teams will be off on their first venture…. well, almost.
I guess this would be a good time to mention that each participant must relinquish many of their “creature comforts” into the confines of our maximum security safe (cell phones, blackberries, cash and credit cards, etc.) before they depart.
With nothing but the shirts on their back (well almost) and the kits the have selected, teams must creatively capitalize on profitable pursuits within a limited amount of time. Once the time has elapsed, they will convene with the other groups in a central location and cash in, but the fun is not done yet. A second initiative will follow with a new slate of venture kits available. If a team struck out on their first outing, this will give them a chance to lick their wounds, learn from their mistakes and hit the payload when they head back out. As for the profitable teams, was it just a fluke or do the really have what it takes when they are forced to change their strategy.
The program will culminate after the second venture and the final totals will be tallied. A great debrief will follow and the Currency Kings & Queens will be crowned. Now the only thing left to do is figure out what to do with the dough? Many groups follow up the event with a charitable donation, others….. well we will let you decide.
$o does your team have what it takes to make $omething out of nothing at all?
