Groups are divided into separate "departments" and given the objective of making "money" by crossing thin cables 1 foot off the ground from tree to tree. Participants must rely on others--first, teammates within their own departments, and then eventually on colleagues in other departments--to reach their goals. Effective brainstorming, collaborative problem solving, and finding win-win solutions with co-workers are practiced and refined.
In this intense group initiative, teams develop internal trust, creating an internal support network which surrounds them. In order to achieve maximum effectiveness, internal support systems will reach out, both literally and figuratively, to other departments. With the overall goal of achieving the most potential revenue throughout the organization, successful teams end up all leaning on each other creating a seamless approach to the challenge at hand.
Debrief for a powerful learning experience
Experiential learning activities are based on the principles of
experiential education, and serve as the basis for engaging team building programs that deliver high impact team and leadership skills development. Debriefing occurs after the activity and is an important process designed to synergize, strengthen, and transfer learning from the experience to real-life, on-the-job situations. Our professional facilitators can tailor, modify, and debrief each activity to meet the specific needs of your team.
